This is a must see pleasant to watch conversation and it will become immediately apparent why this is very, very relevant at this very point in time.

For having the several crises the world at the moment.

New to me, as a non-philosopher for  a lawyer and although  I of course had heard of Bertrand Russell.

Yet my Wikipedia style knowledge didn’t trigger the thought that this is exactly the line of thought as is very much so mine.  It is not so much the answers he formulates in doubt on a hopeful goals for humanity, as well as the clarity of the thought process.

And I doubt whether that ever dawned on him.

So don’t focus or try to put focus on hindsight errors in your or even my opinion. For it’s of someone who in earnest has done his upmost on improving the world on the hopeful goal  of a friendly kindly more happy world. Yet in the same time acknowledging the cruelty and realities of it.

MY TAKE AWAYS

Some immediate  take away’ s of the video for me are his hindsight focus at first away from pure mathematics in the hope of finding the truth there after three years of studying mathematics seeing that the premises of this was fallacious.

My splitting of ‘number mathematics’, ‘picture mathematics’ and ‘word mathematics’ is in the same line of thought here.  It’s all based on inherent circular argument.

His at late in life in this conversation stating that if he’d do it over again and would have the talent he’d focus on  physics, history, mass psychology and  political theory instead of pure philosophy.

Which is in effect is exactly what I’ve been doing on my blog.

Furthermore his three main points as indeed essential goals:

1. The need for a World Federal Government.   My thoughts exactly yet done in a different way and reached along different paths. Namely via a global string of new senates, with one fully independent to the United Nations as representatives of the worlds senates.  And I’d split the armed forces of the UN in Yin and Yang equal forces in order to keep balance. The UN nonpolitical senate holds the key to a just war.  
2. Approximate global economic equality.  Again my thoughts exactly, yet more, namely having each people eradicate poverty as slavery via a decent base economy, on which a limited free market economy can be organized.
3. A nearly static world population.  Indeed a mayor issue if we don’t want to run into a genocidal world war.

BLOCK MODEL’s view on the personality and intelligence of Bertrand Russell.  

Russell having a clear resounding voice makes him in my block model an obvious healthy ADHD personality type.  Being thus an open minded personality.

If we take the list of subjects this Nobel laureate has dealt with as a fact, then he’s a clear polymath (Greek: πολυμαθής, polymathēs, “having learned much”; Latin: homo universalis, “universal man”)[1] is an individual whose knowledge spans a substantial number of subjects, known to draw on complex bodies of knowledge to solve specific problems.

Based on these same facts he’s also an obvious far above average fast thinker.

He’s seemingly  leaning more towards the abstract logic than towards interest in literature and thus tends strongly to him having been a Delta. Whether a specialist or generalist will require more studying, yet I tend towards seeing him as more of an extravert seeing that he’s working on a strongly introvert field of subjects.

Yet he also has great wit and excellent mastery of the both written and spoken English language.

That would thus make him more of  a 1/125 Leonardo da Vinci generalist type.

Having money being from a wealthy background  and time to think and talk to likeminded in his life so an optimum nurture was present in his life. That he hated playing the piano as a kid isn’t inconsistent with him being a Mozart (or Bach for that matter) type.

Being forced to study something not having been pulled into focus  and in so doing unwittingly enthused was explicitly not what his grandparents had done.

Mind this assessment is  all solely based on this interview and Wikipedia page taken parts of that as the evidence on the mass physics of psychology that the block model entails being consistent with history.  

As he stated at the start, these beliefs can be changed on examining further evidence.

There is always inherent doubt.  In my model inherent for only talking about a proven best practice.

Only disciplined education via pulling kids into enthused focus will provide the required bildung.

It’s remarkable to me that both he and I have been made out by several to be a cold fish for liking clarity of thought and exact thinking. That’s indeed unjust for this is about the rational use of gut feelings as intuition on a decent goal.   

NOW DON’T FALL INTO THE TRAP OF STARTING TO STUDY RUSSELL as he also, as I do states:

DON’T SIMPLY FOLLOW DOGMA’s!  NOT HIS, NOT MINE.

YET IN EFFECT STUDY IT ALL YOURSELF (if you like including Russell or my blog)  

AND TRY TO POSE VALID FALSIFICATION
